Цієї ночі ворог надіслав особливо палкі вітання до Дня Києва - понад 40 дронів-камікадзе. Усі вдалося збити. На жаль, уламки вбили людину й кількох поранили. Це вже 14-та нічна атака на столицю України лише за травень. По Києву били крилатими ракетами «Калібр» та X555, аеробалістичними ракетами «Кинжал», іранськими дронами «Shahed”. Жодна не влучила в ціль - завдяки силам ППО.
Понад тисячоліття кияни вірили, що від ворога їх захищає омофор Богородиці Оранти. Мозаїчний образ Діви Марії на одній зі стін собору Софії Києва зберігся з XI століття. Його прозвали «Непорушною стіною». Навколо Оранти чорної мозаїкою по золоту викладений напис старогрецькою з Книги Псалмів: "Бог серед нього, нехай не хитається, Бог поможе йому, коли ранок настане" (Пс. 45:6). Тож доки стоїть у Софії Оранта, доти стоїть Київ і вся Україна.
Існує спеціальна молитва до неї. «Володарка Непорочна, недарма звешся «Непорушна стіна», будь перепоною для всіх тих, хто замишляє ворожнечу і зло проти мене, моїх близьких і мого будинку. Стань для нас непорушною фортецею, що обгороджує нас і наше житло від усяких бід і тяжких обставин. Амінь».
Цитату з молитви, а також рядок із пісні, що стала гімном Києва - «Як тебе не любити, Києве мій» - ми розмістили на цій футболці з зображенням Оранти і пам‘яток Києва. Турбота про тих, кого любимо, пошана тим, хто захищає наше небо, і безмежна любов до міста й країни, атакованих ворогами - все тут.

"So as long as Oranta stands, so long does Kyiv and all of Ukraine stand": special art for Kyiv Day
That night, the enemy sent particularly fervent greetings to Kyiv Day - more than 40 kamikaze drones. All managed to be shot down. Unfortunately, the debris killed one person and injured several others. This is already the 14th night attack on the capital of Ukraine in May 2023. Kyiv was hit by Kalibr and X555 cruise missiles, Kinzhal air-ballistic missiles, and Shahed Iranian drones. None of them hit the target - thanks to the air defense forces.
For more than a millennium, the people of Kyiv believed that the omophorion of the Virgin Oranta protected them from the enemy. The mosaic image of the Virgin Mary on one of the walls of the Saint Sophia Cathedral in Kyiv has been preserved since the 11th century. It was named the "Unbreakable Wall". An ancient Greek inscription from the Book of Psalms is laid out around Oranta in black mosaic on gold: "God is in his midst, let him not be shaken, God will help him when the morning comes" (Ps. 45:6). So as long as Oranta stands in Sofia, so long does Kyiv and all of Ukraine stand.
There is a special prayer to her. "Mistress Immaculate, it is not for nothing that you have erected an "Indestructible Wall", be an obstacle for all those who plot enmity and evil against me, my loved ones and my house. Become for us an indestructible fortress that protects us and our home from all kinds of troubles and difficult circumstances. Amen".
